Inter Milan still interested in signing Chelsea duo
Inter Milan remain interested in signing Chelsea duo Olivier Giroud and Emerson Palmieri when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Nerazzurri were keen on pursuing the duo during the January transfer window, but they could not convince the Blues to sanction their departures.
Giroud has since signed a new one-year contract with the club until June 2021 and he has impressed since the restart with three goals across all competitions.
Emerson, on the other hand, has been ignored for the Premier League duties, but he was part of the Blues side which beat Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-final last month.
According to The Mail, the San Siro giants will make a renewed approach for the pair in the coming months and they are hopeful of securing their services this time around.
As things stand, Giroud has revived his career under Frank Lampard and Emerson appears the likelier candidate to head for the exit door at the end of the season.
Emerson is currently the third-choice left-back behind Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso and he could fall further behind with Lampard eyeing a new player for the position.
