Dean Henderson has made it clear that he wants regular playing time in order to stay put with Manchester United next season.

The 23-year-old is currently in his second year on loan with Sheffield United, where he has kept an impressive tally of 13 clean sheets.

According to The Times, the goalkeeper has no plans of returning to Old Trafford this summer unless he is guaranteed a regular starting role.

David de Gea has made a number of high-profile errors at United over the past few years, but he continues to receive the backing from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Henderson, meanwhile, is on high demand due to his showing at Sheffield and it remains to be seen whether United would be open to his permanent exit.

Chelsea are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation with reports suggesting that Frank Lampard wants to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.

United have not set any asking price for their graduate but it is suggested that he could cost around £50m in case they sanction his sale.
