Arsenal planning bumper deal for star forward?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang news

Arsenal ready to hand Aubameyang a bumper deal

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to reward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a new bumper contract in order to convince him to stay with the club.

The 31-year-old has been in sublime form for the Gunners this term and he has bagged 25 goals from 42 appearances across all competitions.

Earlier this week, Mikel Arteta said that he is confident over a new deal for the marksman and The Telegraph claims that the club are ready to hand Aubameyang a contract worth £250,000 a week plus bonuses.

The former Borussia Dortmund man has only 11 months remaining on his current contract and it is claimed that he may still want assurances from the board that Arteta will be given sufficient funds to strengthen the squad.

Aubameyang has largely been deployed on the left side of the attack this season, but he has still been a regular goalgetter for the north London giants.

He recently helped the club progress to a record 21st FA Cup final after bagging a brace against Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium.
