Arsenal face Premier League competition for Barcelona star?

Arsenal could reportedly compete with the likes of Everton and West Ham United to sign Samuel Umtiti during this summer's transfer window.

A number of Ligue 1 sides including Marseille and ex-club Lyon are keen on signing him, but Mundo Deportivo claims that multiple Premier League sides are also queuing up to land his signature.

West Ham United and Everton are considering potential bids for the 2018 World Cup winner, but the Gunners are hopeful of beating the pair to the player's services.

The Blaugrana are open to the prospect of loaning him out for the 2020/21 campaign, provided the interested club is willing to include an obligation to buy next summer.

Over the past year, Umtiti has been the third-choice centre-back for the Blaugrana behind Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet. The club are said to be eyeing a new signing for the position this summer.
