Tottenham Hotspur agree fee for Premier League midfielder
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement with Southampton for the signing of midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
The Dane has been one of Spurs' prime targets for the summer and it appears that they have finally made the breakthrough in the negotiations.
The Saints were initially demanding £25m for the midfielder, but Spurs made it clear that they wouldn't pay more than £15m for the player.
Hence, the South Coast outfit were looking at potential offers elsewhere, but Højbjerg made his intention clear to join Spurs.
According to The Guardian, Jose Mourinho's side have won the race to sign the Saints captain and he will join them in the near future.
Meanwhile, Kyle Walker-Peters to set to move in the opposite direction in a separate deal. Spurs have agreed on a £12m package for his transfer.
Walker-Peters spent the second half of the 2019/2020 season on loan with the Saints, where he made 10 appearances in the league.
