Chelsea receive boost in signing Said Benrahma
Chelsea have received a boost in signing Said Benrahma following Brentford's failure to secure promotion to the Premier League.
The Algerian was a key performer in the Bees' run to the Championship play-off final where they lost 2-1 to Fulham in added extra-time.
As a result, a number of leading players are expected to head for the exit door and Benrahma is one of them, who has been attracting top-flight interest.
According to Football.London, the Blues have the opportunity to land Benrahma for an affordable fee after the Bees' failure to earn promotion.
Benrahma is likely to be available for around £25m this summer, but his next move may depend on the assurance of regular playing time.
It remains to be seen whether the Blues can beat off the competition from the likes of Leeds United, West Ham United and Aston Villa to land his signature.
Benrahma has also been attracting interest from other top European leagues and Borussia Dortmund are one of them, who are tracking his situation.
