Brazilian defender keen on Arsenal transfer?

Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes is reportedly keen on making the switch to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

The centre-back has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League and he is currently the subject of interest from multiple sides.

Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United have been associated with him in recent weeks, but La Voix du Nord claims that the Brazilian wants to join the Gunners after a fruitful meeting with the club's officials.

It is added that Lille want a package of around £27m for the player's sale and negotiations are likely to take place between the clubs regarding the structure of the transfer fee.

Gabriel made 34 appearances for the French Ligue 1 outfit last term. He was a regular at the heart of the defence alongside Jose Fonte, but the club missed out on Champions League football by one point.

Lille president Gerard Lopez has confirmed that the 22-year-old is free to leave the club this summer and a decision over his future will be made before the domestic season resumes this month.
