Arsenal to sign Brazilian star in the next 48 hours

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of announcing their first signing of the summer transfer window.

The north London side have been heavily linked with Willian's services over the past month and they are close to signing him on a free transfer.

The Brazil international officially left Chelsea following their Champions League campaign and he has since undergone a medical with the Gunners.

According to Sky Sports, the Gunners are likely to make an official announcement over the free transfer by the end of Saturday.

Willian is due to join the north London giants on a three-year contract on wages of around £100,000-a-week.

Mikel Arteta's side have included a 12-month option which could be exercised, suppose he is able to impress during his stay.

The Gunners are aiming to make at least four signings this summer and they have recently been linked with Philippe Coutinho.

The playmaker is eager to make a return to the Premier League from Barcelona. He could be available on loan for around £10m.
