Chelsea midfielder heading to AS Roma?

Jorginho to AS Roma?

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho could be heading through the exit door this summer amid the interest from AS Roma.

The Italy international started the 2019/2020 season on a bright note under manager Frank Lampard, but he fell out-of-favour following the turn of the year.

Jorginho was reinstated into the starting lineup during the final weeks of the season, but that was primarily due to the injuries to N'Golo Kante and Billy Gilmour.

Earlier last month, he was linked with a possible reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus, but that option has diminished with the Italian being sacked by the Serie A outfit.

Still, he could make the return to the Italian top-flight this summer with the interest from the Giallorossi. The 28-year-old has three more years remaining on his Blues contract and could be available for around £30m.

Aside from Jorginho, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater are among the other midfielders, who are expected to be shown the exit door during the current transfer window.
