Arsenal reach agreement to sign Brazilian ace

Arsenal have reportedly beaten the likes of Napoli and Manchester United in the race to sign Gabriel Magalhaes this summer.

The Lille centre-back has been the subject of interest from multiple European sides this summer and it appears that the Gunners have sealed the deal for his services.

According to The Telegraph, the north London giants have agreed on a fee worth £22m and have already finalised personal terms with the player.

Gabriel is expected to be presented by the club in the coming days, but reports claim that his arrival could pave the way for a couple of exits.

The club will want to balance the books after the outlay on Gabriel. Sokratis and Calum Chambers are among the players, who could be sold this summer.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is eyeing at least two more signings after Gabriel and one of them will be focused on bolstering the central midfield department.

Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey has been mentioned as a potential candidate to join the club, but they will have to trigger the £45m release clause on his contract.
