Chelsea interested in Paris Saint-Germain defender?
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Thiago Silva once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this month.
The Brazil international has spent the past eight years with Les Parisiens, but he is expected to leave the club following the Champions League final.
Silva has been the subject of interest from the likes of Everton, AC Milan and Fiorentina in recent weeks, but his representatives have now offered him to Chelsea.
The Blues are on the hunt for an experienced centre-back to add to their squad this summer and Silva could be the perfect fit despite approaching his 36th birthday.
Silva is said to be eyeing a two-year contract and he is prepared to take a significant pay-cut on his current wages of around £280,000-a-week at Les Parisiens.
Frank Lampard's side could face direct competition from Everton, whose manager Carlo Ancelotti has previously worked with the defender at AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
Silva is expected to captain Les Parisiens when they take on German champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League final in Lisbon on Sunday night.
