Mikel Arteta updates on Aubameyang's contract situation

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he is 'very positive' over the prospect of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signing a new contract.
The Gabon international continued his fine form at Wembley by scoring the opening goal in the Community Shield final against Liverpool which they won on penalties.
Following the game, Aubameyang remained coy regarding his future. On the other hand, Arteta expressed confidence of extending the forward's contract beyond June 2021.
"I am very positive that he's going to sign but a lot of time there's a lot of things involved in a contract deal and we are trying to show him," he told BT Sport after the victory.
A number of sources have indicated that Aubameyang has already agreed a three-year contract with the north London side on wages of around £250,000-a-week.
An announcement is said to be put on hold amid the outrage from a section of the club supporters after they proposed 55 redundancies earlier this month.
