Chelsea to swap Kepa for Donnarumma?

Chelsea could be open to swapping Kepa Arrizabalaga in a potential deal to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan this summer.

Arrizabalaga experienced an average 2019/2020 season with the Blues, where he had the lowest save percentage among the Premier League goalkeepers.

Hence, it was unsurprising that manager Frank Lampard decided to pick Willy Caballero ahead of him during the final weeks of the campaign.

A recent story from Football Insider claimed that the Blues had opened talks with AC Milan for Donnarumma and they could propose an initial loan deal.

The same publication has now reported that the club could be open to offering Arrizabalaga as a makeweight to sign the highly-rated Italian shot-stopper.

Rennes' Edouard Mendy was initially the preferred target for the west London giants, but they have decided against pursuing him after learning of the asking price.

Frank Lampard's side were willing to offer around £22m for the Senegal international, but were put off by the £45m price tag set by the Ligue 1 side.
