Leeds United want to sign Chelsea youngster permanently
Leeds United are looking at the prospect of signing Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher on a permanent deal this summer.
The 20-year-old spent the previous season on loan in the Championship where he made an impact with both Charlton Athletic and Swansea City.
He has since been linked with a temporary move to either Aston Villa or West Bromwich Albion in the top-flight, but The Mail claims that Leeds are looking into a permanent move.
Gallagher contributed six goals and 11 assists in the second tier last season and he was able to impress from both the attacking and holding midfield positions.
Marcelo Bielsa has become an admirer of Gallagher on the back of those displays and has urged the club's hierarchy to push for a straight-cash transfer.
Leeds have already spent more than £60m on their summer signings, but they still have around £50m in their kitty. They are eyeing at least two new players before next month's deadline.
