Antonio Conte planning swoop for Chelsea defender?
Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso during the current transfer window.
Alonso was a regular under Conte between 2016 and 2018 and he went on to win the Premier League under the Italian's guidance.
According to Sky Italia, Alonso is considering his Blues future, particularly with the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City earlier this summer.
Alonso was in-and-out of the starting lineup for the left-back/left wing-back role last season with Cesar Azpilicueta often favoured ahead of him.
His game time will be hampered further after the arrival of Chilwell and it is reported that he could return to the Serie A to be reunited with Conte.
Conte has preferred the purchase of Premier League-based players and he has already signed the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen, Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young.
The Nerazzurri boss is keen on adding more competition for places in the left wing-back spot and Alonso has been identified as one of the prime transfer targets.
