Shkodran Mustafi close to Lazio transfer?
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi could be heading to the Serie A with Lazio in the coming days.
The Germany international suffered a hamstring injury in the final weeks of the previous season, and he has yet to overcome the concern.
Mustafi is likely to return to full training by October, but it appears that he could end his association with the Gunners by then.
According to Sport Mediaset, the centre-back is likely to head through the exit door this summer with his contract expiring in 10 months' time.
Lazio are leading the race to secure his services and reports claim that they are positive of signing him for an initial fee of around £10.5m.
The Gunners have bolstered their central defensive department this summer with the purchase of Gabriel Magalhaes from French side Lille.
The north London giants have also integrated William Saliba into their squad after his loan stint with Saint-Etienne.
Aside from Mustafi, the likes of Calum Chambers and Sokratis are due to be sold by the club before the transfer deadline next month.
