Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang responds to Houssem Aouar transfer link
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that he would like to work alongside Houssem Aouar at Arsenal.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the player's signature in recent weeks, but they are yet to finalise a deal.
Their opening bid of £32m has been rejected and reports claim that they may need to pay around £45m to sign the Lyon midfielder.
Amidst this, Aubameyang has spoken positively about Aouar by saying that the club are in favour of him.
"Of course we are in favour [of signing him], I will not hide it! Even if he is at Lyon!," he was quoted as saying by Canal +.
The 22-year-old registered nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Les Gones last season.
He has started the new campaign on a slow note with no contributions, but has still been fancied to secure a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also looking into a deal for Thomas Partey. They will need to trigger the £45m release clause on his Atletico Madrid contract to sign him.
