Arsenal are set to face competition from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain as they look to sign Houssem Aouar in January.

The Frenchman was one of the Gunners' top targets for the summer transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise before the deadline.

The north London side were in constant contact with Lyon for the midfielder, but their final £35m offer fell short of their £50m asking price.

According to Tuttosport, the north London side will make a renewed attempt in January when they recoup additional funds from player sales.

However, this time around, they could face competition for the playmaker with both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain said to be planning bids.

Aouar recently said that he is happy to remain with Les Gones and help them in their aim to qualify for the Champions League.

His performances have slightly dipped this season amid the speculation. He has contributed one goal from five appearances this term.
