Manchester United to sign sporting director?

Manchester United are reportedly considering the option of recruiting their first-ever sporting director.

The Red Devils had a frustrating summer transfer window where they failed to land top target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

This has led to speculation whether United need a sporting director and Canal Plus claims that they are looking into a move for Luis Campos.

Campos is currently working in a similar role at Lille, but it is reported that United may consider a move for him before the next transfer window.

Campos has a close relationship with former United boss Jose Mourinho and he has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur in the past.

United have made a slow start to the current season and they have accumulated only seven points from the opening five league games.

None of their new signings have yet to be integrated into the starting lineup. Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani have only featured off the bench.
