Mikel Arteta provides update on Thomas Partey's thigh injury

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that a scan will determine the extent of the thigh problem picked up by Thomas Partey.
The Ghana international sustained the injury during the opening half against Aston Villa on Sunday and he looked uncomfortable before the break.
As a result, he was replaced by Daniel Ceballos at the interval, but the Spaniard could not make his mark as the Gunners suffered a heavy 3-0 loss.
Arteta has now revealed that he has no idea over the extent of the thigh injury suffered by Partey until the necessary scans are performed.
"We don't know [the extent] of it. We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away. Let's wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is," he told via Arsenal.com.
The north London giants produced their worst performance of the campaign on Sunday as they conceded three goals to the Villains without reply.
That sees them languishing in the 11th spot on the table after eight games. They are already four points behind the final Champions League spot.
