Arsenal working on a deal for £23m playmaker
Arsenal are reportedly working over a possible deal to sign Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg at the beginning of the year.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form this term with five goals and nine assists from 13 outings for Salzburg and recently helped Hungary qualify for Euro 2020 with a dramatic stoppage time winner against Iceland.
He has been tipped to leave the club in January after the £23m buy-out clause on his contract was revealed by his representative and the Gunners are one of the clubs keen on signing him.
According to The Mirror, the north London giants are working on a deal for the 20-year-old and they are exploring options to meet the release clause on his contract.
It is added that Mikel Arteta's side are unlikely to afford the entire package in one payment and they may propose to pay the transfer fee in three instalments.
It is unclear whether Salzburg will consider the proposal with the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich also keen on signing the box-to-box midfielder.
