Leeds United are looking into a possible loan move for Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig, a report from Sport claims.

The 21-year-old has been restricted to only 29 minutes of first-team action this term and he appears out-of-favour under Ronald Koeman.

Hence, there has been speculation regarding his future and Sport claims that Marcelo Bielsa's side could made a loan approach in January.

However, they are not alone in the player's pursuit and it is suggested that they could face competition from RB Leipzig, Real Betis and Monaco.

Leeds have made an impressive return to the top-flight after 16 long years and they are currently 11th on the table with 14 points on the board.

They have impressed in the attack with 15 goals from 10 outings, but have been guilty of squandering plenty of clear-cut chances.

Puig, who operates normally in the central midfield role, is capable of providing key passes and could be a quality addition to the ranks.
