Liverpool boss says midfielder could return from injury to face Brighton
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that club-captain Jordan Henderson could be available for tomorrow's Premier League clash at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Reds have been hampered by injuries right from the start of the season and they are currently without Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Thiago Alcantara.
Henderson has also been sidelined in recent games with a muscle injury, but Klopp is hopeful that the midfielder can pass the late fitness test to face the Seagulls.
"Hendo trained yesterday, parts of team training and then had his individual session, so we have to see what we do with that," Klopp was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
The Premier League champions are expected to be without three of their regular defenders in Van Dijk, Gomez and Alexander-Arnold, but they have no such concerns in the attack.
Mohamed Salah is back after recovering from the coronavirus. He could make up the attack alongside Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, should Klopp revert to the 4-2-3-1 formation.
