Chelsea planning to sell a left-back in January
Chelsea will consider the sale of either Emerson or Marcos Alonso when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Blues signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester City earlier in the summer and he has since been their undisputed left-back in the Premier League.
According to Goal, Blues boss Frank Lampard is looking to trim the first-team squad and is keen on selling a left-back in January.
Both Emerson and Alonso are out of contention for the league duties and they have previously attracted interest from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.
Comparing them, Alonso has gone completely out-of-favour and he has not played a single minute since the 3-3 draw at West Brom in September..
Hence, he is the likely candidate to head for the exit door and it remains to be seen whether there is any interest ahead of the next transfer window.
Alonso was previously valued at around £25m, but his price will have significantly dropped with his lack of gametime since September.
