Mikel Arteta provides injury update on Thomas Partey
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided a positive update on Thomas Partey's fitness ahead of the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners have been in a poor run of form in the Premier League and they have picked up just one point from the previous three games.
As a result, they have dropped to 14th on the table and are already eight points adrift of the top of the Premier League standings.
Arteta's side will start the upcoming derby as the underdogs owing to Spurs' fluent league form, but they could receive a welcome injury boost.
Partey has been out for the past four weeks with a thigh problem, but Arteta has hinted that he could return to the mix for Sunday's clash.
"Well, he is putting a lot of pressure on us! He is training tomorrow with us, and let's see how it goes in the next few days," He told via Arsenal.com.
Arsenal have not beaten Spurs on the road since 2015. Spurs will be aiming to maintain their top spot on the table with a derby win.
