Mikel Arteta updates on Thomas Partey's injury
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that Thomas Partey could have an outside chance of facing Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The Ghana international has been out for the past four weeks with a thigh injury and Arteta recently said that he won't be available against Spurs.
However, he has now offered hope by revealing that the midfielder has began training individually and could make the squad for the north London derby.
"He's been training separately in the last week or so and we have to scan him again to see how he's feeling. He's a player that is so willing, that is pushing us every day and he wants to do it," He told.
The Gunners have been in a wretched run of form in the Premier League and they have won just two of the previous eight matches.
They are currently 14th on the table with 13 points, eight behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur whom they face on the road on Sunday.
Their recent record against Spurs has been poor and they have not beaten them away from home in any competition since 2015.
