Olivier Giroud speaks on his Chelsea future
French striker Olivier Giroud has said that he is happy to stay at Chelsea, provided he has the assurance of regular game time.
The 34-year-old has barely started for the Blues this term, but he recently took his chance against Sevilla, where he scored all four goals in the 4-0 win.
He is now likely to start the Premier League clash against Leeds United and has said that he is content to stay with the guarantee of playing time.
"I am pretty sure I can get some more game time and stay at Chelsea because that is what I want. I want to win trophies with Chelsea so basically that's it," He told the club's official website.
Giroud has played second fiddle to Tammy Abraham for the striker's role in the Premier League this term, but he should start ahead of the Englishman tomorrow after his stunning quadruple.
He has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus in recent weeks, but it appears that he could turn down their interest during the winter transfer window.
