Liverpool, Manchester United to compete for Watford attacker?
Liverpool and Manchester United could reportedly battle it out for the signature of Ismaila Sarr during the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with both sides during the summer, but ultimately a deal failed to materialise before the deadline.
Sarr has since registered four assists and five assists from 17 appearances and it is reported that there could be fresh transfer interest.
According to The Athletic, both Reds and United are planning to revive their pursuit this month, but they won't get the attacker on the cheap.
The Hornets are keen on keeping hold of Sarr to boost their promotion bid and only an offer of more than £40m would tempt them to sell.
Sarr has experienced just one season in the English top-flight, but he fared decently with five goals and six assists from 28 outings.
He was keen on a return to the Premier League last summer, but clarified that he won't force a move against the Hornets' wishes.
