Chelsea midfielder's agent opens the door for future exit

The agent of midfielder Jorginho has opened the door for his client to pursue a fresh challenge away from Chelsea.

The Italy international has dropped down the selection order over the past year and he is no longer guaranteed a starting spot.

Hence, he has been linked with a return to the Serie A and agent Joao Santos has opened the possibility of that happening.

"As for Chelsea, they are not very well-placed in the table now, but being a young team, it takes time. Jorge is a Chelsea player and he is very happy there, but I wouldn't rule out a return to Italy in future," He told via The Mirror.

Jorginho was heavily linked with a move to Juventus earlier last year, but an approach never came after the dismissal of Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri had worked with Jorginho at both Chelsea and Napoli and a reunion was on the cards before he was sacked by the Bianconeri.

Arsenal had made a tentative enquiry for Jorginho earlier in the summer, but they have since bolstered their squad with Thomas Partey.

Chelsea are scheduled to host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge this evening and Jorginho could feature from the starting XI.
