Sebastien Haller joins Ajax from West Ham

Ivory Coast international striker Sebastien Haller has completed a surprise move from West Ham United to Dutch giants Ajax for a reported fee of £20 million. The burly forward had struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League and has been allowed to leave the East London outfit.
The 26-year-old flew to Holland yesterday to discuss personal terms, and has since signed a four year contract with the Amsterdam side. Despite West Ham having paid £45 million for the striker, the Hammers have decided to part with the striker, who made his name in the Bundesliga playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.
West Ham's website have today confirmed the move, and in a short note to the player stated: "West Ham United would like to thank Sebastien for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future career."
It is understood that the Hammers are looking for an attacking replacement in the January transfer window, with Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah amongst the names mentioned with a transfer to the Irons.
