Serie A giants enter talks to sign Chelsea centre-back
Serie A giants AC Milan are looking to sign Fikayo Tomori on loan after ending negotiations for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan.
Simakan had been earmarked as their prime central defensive target, but he has now picked up a knee injury which will rule him out for two months.
Hence, they have shifted their focus towards Tomori and Fabrizio Romano claims that talks are underway with Chelsea over a temporary deal.
The England international has played just 44 minutes of league football this term and manager Frank Lampard has given the green light for a loan exit.
He has been linked with multiple Premier League sides this month, but the prospect of playing for the Rossoneri could be tempting.
Still, he may not be assured a starting spot with Alessio Romagnoli and Simon Kjaer being the preferred pairing under Stefano Pioli.
The Milan giants have excelled during the course of the current season and they are top of the Serie A with a three-point lead over Inter.
