Chelsea boss confirms injury blow for key midfielder
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that midfielder N'Golo Kante won't be available for the forthcoming Premier League clash against Leicester City.
The France international missed the recent league game against Fulham due to suspension, but Lampard also revealed that he was carrying a minor hamstring problem.
The Blues are scheduled to face Leicester City on the road on Tuesday night and prior to the match, Lampard has confirmed that Kante has yet to recover from the setback.
Meanwhile, Andreas Christensen has been carrying a knock to his knee in recent weeks, but he has been deemed fit ahead of the trip to the King Power Stadium tomorrow.
"Christensen is available but N’Golo unfortunately isn’t. His hamstring is not quite ready for this one and those are the two of note to report on," Lampard told the club's official website.
Chelsea are currently seventh on the table with 29 points, eight behind leaders Manchester United. They have a poor league record against the Foxes with four draws and one defeat in the last five games.
