Wolves have snapped up striker Willian Jose on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season. Wolves' manager Nuno had been keen to bring in a new attacking player before the end of the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old will move to Molineux subject to approval for a work permit and will provide much needed cover for the injured Raul Jimenez, who suffered a severe head injury against Arsenal two months back.

Wolves have a deal that will allow them to sign Jose on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign, should the striker impress at the Premier League club.

The forward has bagged 62 goals in 170 games for Real Sociedad, and is considered a club hero to many at the La Liga side.

Willian Jose had previous spells at Real Madrid and Real Zaragoza prior to settling down at Real Sociedad, and it is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers will pay around 150,000 euros to Sociedad for the duration of the loan, with an agreement to sign Jose permanently already in place, for a transfer fee of around 4 million euros.
