Arsenal are prepared to wait until the summer before making a renewed approach to sign Norwich City attacker Emiliano Buendia.

The Gunners were interested in signing the Argentine this month, but their pursuit ended after learning of the Canaries' £40m price tag.

The club have since switched their interest towards Martin Odegaard and they are set to sign him on loan from Real Madrid this week.

Still, manager Mikel Arteta is said to hold a keen interest in Buendia and Football.London claims that the club will make a fresh move in the summer.

Buendia was one of the Canaries' top performers in the Premier League last term with one goal and seven assists, but they still finished bottom.

He has excelled in the Championship this term with seven goals and seven assists from 21 games for the club, who are top of the standings.

Even if the Canaries return to the top-flight, it appears likely that Buendia will look for a big-club move in the summer.
