Arsenal to swap Matteo Guendouzi for Paris Saint-Germain star?
Paris Saint-Germain are set to propose a potential swap deal for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, which could see Julian Draxler move in the opposite direction.
Guendouzi is currently on a season-long loan at Hertha Berlin, but there has been speculation that the Gunners could mutually terminate the deal this month such that they can sell him permanently.
According to The Mail, Les Parisiens boss Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer of Guendouzi, having watched the midfielder closely during his time in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.
The same publication cites that the French champions could propose a surprise swap deal for Guendouzi which could see Draxler eventually make the move to the north London side.
Draxler has been linked with the Gunners since his time at Schalke 04 in 2013. It was recently claimed that he may honour the final six months of his Paris Saint-Germain contract.
The Gunners are close to landing Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid, but Les Parisiens are prepared to tempt the Gunners with the availability of Draxler.
Guendouzi still has 17 months left on his contract and the Gunners may not agree to a swap agreement unless Les Parisiens agree to pay a transfer fee in addition to Draxler acting as a makeweight.
