Arsenal not interested in Brandt - Fabrizio Romano

Arsenal hold no interest in signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Julian Brandt, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.



Earlier this month, the Gunners were on the hunt for a creative midfielder and they were initially linked with Brandt.'

Thereafter, the names of Isco, Emiliano Buendia and Christian Eriksen popped up before they signed Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid.

Romano has now revealed that the Gunners were never serious about signing Brandt and the German will remain at Dortmund.

Brandt had a top 2019/2020 season with Dortmund where he registered seven goals and 13 assists across all competitions.

He has, however, struggled for form this term with only two goals and one assist from 26 games for the Bundesliga outfit.

Dortmund are likely to stick with Brandt until the end of the campaign before deciding whether to sell him or not.

The club have endured a tough league season and they are currently three points adrift of the top four after back-to-back losses.
