Arsenal boss provides injury update on Kieran Tierney ahead of Manchester United clash
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Kieran Tierney's fitness ahead of the Premier League clash against Manchester United this weekend.
Tierney was left out of the FA Cup fourth round defeat at Southampton with a minor calf problem and he missed the resultant league game against the Saints with the same issue.
Following the club's 3-1 win over the Saints on Tuesday, Arteta said that Tierney's involvement against the Red Devils may be dependent on his progress over the next few days.
"I don't know. He wasn't available against Southampton in the FA Cup, he was injured. He's still injured today. Let's see how he progresses for the game against Man United," He told the club's official website.
Arsenal are currently ninth on the Premier League table with 30 points, five behind the Champions League spots. They are one of the in-form teams at the moment.
The north London giants are unbeaten in the last six league games with five wins and one draw. Only Manchester City have fared better than them with a 100 percent record during this period.
