United not interested in ex-Man City star Dzeko

Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko this month.

The Bosnian has netted seven goals from 15 games for Roma this term, but he is no longer preferred by manager Paulo Fonseca.

The 34-year-old was recently involved in a confrontation with the head coach after team manager Gianluca Gombar was sacked.

That has not gone well with the Giallorossi stripping him from the captaincy and putting him in the transfer market.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have offered both United and Manchester City the chance to sign the experienced striker.

However, the Red Devils are unlikely to make a move, given the hierarchy are content with the current squad of players.

United currently have Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, who can lead the line.

Dzeko would want regular playing time and that is something United won't be able to offer him for the rest of the season.

Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the striker, who has 17 months left on his Giallorossi contract.
