Liverpool, Chelsea interested in Dayot Upamecano
Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in signing Dayot Upamecano.
The European champions recently made contact with the agents of Upamecano and they are planning to land his signature in the summer.
The club have already contacted RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff regarding the same and there is reportedly a verbal agreement in place.
In an interview with Sky Germany, Rummenigge has now revealed that the centre-back is on the radar of other clubs including Chelsea and Liverpool.
"There are two other clubs interested in Dayot. The fact that Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in him proves that he has very good qualities," He told.
Upamecano's current deal has a release clause worth £38m which will become active right after the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Rummenigge has confirmed that David Alaba will leave the club when his contract expires in June and Upamecano could replace him.
