Chelsea open contract talks with experienced duo
Chelsea are planning to hold talks with Thiago Silva and Jorginho regarding new contracts.
Silva joined the Blues on a free transfer last summer. His current deal expires in June, but the club have the option for another 12 months.
Meanwhile, Jorginho has more than two years remaining on his contract, but there continues to remain speculation over his future.
According to SportItalia, the west London giants are planning discussions with Silva and they want to reward him with a new deal until June 2023.
Jorginho has returned to favour since the arrival of manager Thomas Tuchel and the Blues are willing to extend his stay until the summer of 2025.
The Blues recently won their first match under Tuchel. They beat Burnley by a 2-0 scoreline with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso on the scoresheet.
The victory has seen them jump to seventh on the league table. They are now within six points of the Champions League places.
