Mikel Arteta provides injury update on Kieran Tierney
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh update on Kieran Tierney's injury following the Premier League loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The north London giants saw their seven-match unbeaten run end on Tuesday night where they suffered a 2-1 defeat with nine men on the pitch.
Following the game, Arteta revealed that Tierney was not close to making his comeback, but he is hopeful that the left-back can return as soon as possible.
"He wasn’t close at all – hopefully in the next few days he feels much better and he can come in the team and help us in this moment where we have so many games," he told Arsenal.com.
Tierney has been struggling with some discomfort in his lower leg. Due to this, he has missed the club's last four games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are now winless in back-to-back matches and will be hoping to make amends against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
