Odegaard open to permanent Arsenal transfer

Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard is open to joining Arsenal on a permanent basis during this summer's transfer window.

The Norwegian joined the Gunners on loan last month and he has played only 50 minutes of first-team football for the club.

In the short time, he has shown glimpses of his quality and manager Mikel Arteta has opened the possibility of a permanent deal.

According to Todo Fichajes, the 22-year-old is pleased with the developments at the north London side and he is open to a longer stay.

He has failed to break into Los Blancos' setup under Zinedine Zidane, but he is open to leaving the club even if the Frenchman is sacked by the summer.

Odegaard has been restricted to only two substitute appearances for the Gunners, but he could start against Leeds United next weekend.

Emile Smith Rowe has been the regular choice in the number 10 role, but he may be given a break after starting nine straight Premier League games.
