Arsenal yet to decide on defender's future

Arsenal have yet to make a decision over the future of David Luiz, a report from Football Insider claims.

The centre-back is currently in his second season with the Gunners and he has made 63 appearances to date.

Luiz has been a regular starter during his time at the club but has come for some criticism from the fans for his decision making.

He has picked up three red cards at the north London side and one of those came against Wolves this month where the Gunners lost 2-1.

A recent report claimed that the Gunners had opened negotiations with Luiz over a new contract to keep him at the club for next season.

However, that has been dismissed by Football Insider, who claim that the Gunners are yet to open any negotiations with Luiz's agents.

The Brazilian has been a good influence on the club's youngsters and there are suggestions that he may be offered a player-coach role.
