Liverpool, Spurs keeping tabs on Aston Villa star

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs who are monitoring the progress of Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
The 23-year-old has established himself as the regular centre-back partner to Tyrone Mings and he has made 20 league appearances this term.
His performances have caught the eye of both Liverpool and Spurs and The Athletic claims that the duo are contemplating summer bids.
Jurgen Klopp's side have faced a defensive crisis this season with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip ruled out with long-term injuries.
They were able to bring in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak before the winter transfer deadline, but the latter was disappointing on debut.
The club are likely to pursue another centre-back and Konsa has seemingly grabbed their attention with his consistent displays for Villa.
Spurs, meanwhile, are expected to reinforce the backline this summer after becoming more vulnerable at the back as the season has progressed.
Konsa, who was formerly with Brentford, has more than two years remaining on his existing deal with Dean Smith's side.
