Carlo Ancelotti responds to James Rodriguez exit talk
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished suggestions that James Rodriguez wants to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Colombian joined on a free transfer from Real Madrid last summer and has impressed with five goals and four assists in the league.
A recent report suggested that he is not pleased with the weather as well as the physicality of the league and may push for an exit.
However, Ancelotti has dismissed those claims and emphasised that the playmaker is content with the proceedings at the club.
"Oh, he's okay, he has no problem. I talk to him every day, he's happy here. He's confident, motivated," he was quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"I don't know if he complains about the weather, but we know it's not the best weather ever! But there are a lot of things good in this area."
The Toffees registered a 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield yesterday. It was their first victory at the stadium in more than two decades.
Rodriguez provided the assist for the opening goal scored by Richarlison.
The Toffees are currently seventh on the table with 40 points, five behind fourth-placed West Ham United with a game in hand.
