Arsenal face Leeds competition for Dutch defender
Arsenal could face competition from Leeds United in their attempt to sign Patrick van Aanholt this summer.
Van Aanholt was touted to join the Gunners from Crystal Palace for a nominal fee in January, but a deal failed to materialise.
The Dutchman's current contract with the Eagles expires in June and as things stand, he is likely to leave them on a free transfer.
According to The Mail, Leeds have entered the pursuit of the left-back as they aim to land a replacement for Ezgjan Alioski.
Alioski's contract expires in the summer as well and he is reportedly keen on joining Galatasaray on a Bosman deal.
The Whites could be prepared to offer Van Aanholt with a regular starting role with Stuart Dallas playing higher up the field.
The Gunners, however, want him as a potential back-up behind Kieran Tierney and it remains to be seen whether they can convince him.
Van Aanholt has made more than 125 appearances for Palace to date.
