Liverpool join Arsenal in race to sign Premier League midfielder

Liverpool have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge.
The Norwegian arrived from Genk for a club-record £ fee in January 2020 and made 16 appearances for the Blades last season.
However, he has managed only 13 outings this term and has been out on the sidelines since December with a hamstring injury.
In recent weeks, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the midfielder, who is likely to be sold this summer.
The Blades are on course for relegation to the Championship next season and it is claimed that they could sell him for around £25m.
Liverpool are also keeping tabs on his situation as they aim to land a replacement for contract rebel Georginio Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum recently snubbed a new contract and he looks set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
The Dutchman could be heading to Barcelona for a reunion with former Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman.
