Luis Suarez set for sensational Liverpool comeback?
Liverpool could be handed a chance of re-signing Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez in a part-exchange deal for Roberto Firmino.
The Uruguayan left the Reds for Barcelona during the summer of 2014 and he spent six seasons with the Catalan giants before joining Atletico.
Suarez is now 34, but has shown no signs of slowing down and he has netted 19 goals in 25 La Liga outings for Atletico, who are top of the table.
According to Marca, Atletico are wary of losing Suarez at the end of the campaign and want to ensure they are not caught short with a striker absence.
They have their sights on landing Firmino from the Premier League champions and will offer them the opportunity to re-sign Suarez as part of the deal.
Suarez remains a favourite among the Reds fans and his return could be welcomed by a large section of the faithful. He would provide an upgrade on Firmino, who has netted only six times this term.
