Chelsea receive boost in re-signing Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea have been handed a boost in re-signing Romelu Lukaku with Inter Milan needing to balance their books this summer.

The Nerazzurri have had a superb Serie A campaign and they are currently six points ahead of AC Milan at the top of the table.

Lukaku has been pivotal towards their league dominance and he has netted 19 goals alongside seven assists from 26 appearances.

According to Tuttomercato, the San Siro outfit are facing huge losses amid the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is added that they could be forced to sell either Lautaro Martinez or Lukaku when the transfer window reopens later this year.

Antonio Conte's side will attempt to sign Manchester City's Sergio Aguero as a replacement. The Argentine could be available on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Lukaku is not actively looking for a fresh challenge, but he has been regularly linked with an exit over the past few weeks.

Aside from the Blues, Manchester City and Barcelona also hold an interest in signing the former Manchester United man this summer.
