Mikel Arteta responds to Arsenal link with Sergio Aguero
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has dismissed the club's prospects of signing Sergio Aguero at the end of the season.
The Argentine has netted 257 goals during his decade-long stay with Manchester City, but he will leave them when his contract expires in June.
The Gunners are one of the clubs, who have been credited with an interest, but Arteta dismissed the speculation earlier today.
He told in a press conference via Arsenal.com "No, no, no... we will see what happens with him in the future."
"Sergio has a unique quality to see spaces where nobody else can see and score goals in a really easy way so I am sure that he will find the right next project."
The Gunners are scheduled to host Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday night, and it is a must-win game for them.
They are nine points adrift of the top four, and need to remain perfect hereon to have any chance of securing a Champions League berth.
Otherwise, they will need to win the Europa League in order to qualify for the elite European competition after five seasons.
